Sentimental Sundays

To go along with Farcical Friday, I think a Sentimental Sunday is in order.  As we regroup for the coming week, it’s important to reflect on the beauty that surrounds us.

Some beautiful events of kindness, caring, compassion and love I’ve witnessed in the past week:

1) An adorable couple was dancing to “Happy Together” by The Turtles inside the mall as it played over the sound system.  Singing to each other, dancing, and acting as if they were the only two in the world.  It brought tears to my eyes, really.  So adorable.

2) My friend was given a balloon flower at Denny’s the other day.  She was there studying, on her laptop, and doing her own thing.  And then, a man came up to her and presented her with the flower.  He said he used to be a clown and he just felt like spreading some joy.  How cute is that?

3) Your best friend’s mom giving you a call to send love just because.

What random act of kindness or skill have you shared with others who didn’t expect it or know you this past week?  What can you do this week to spread the positivity?

I was at a funeral service and it the deceased had suffered heart and cancer for 30 years but he never gave up and stayed positive and had a goal to live to 80 and he did through his positivity – what better time to start than today – the beginning of my 30 th year of marriage
